Delve is an iPhone app of short interactive lessons about interesting things, lessons on ideas from well-known books and what the evidence says now, and daily puzzles.

Plans
What does the free plan include?
Two lessons or book parts a day, counted by your phone's day, and about half of each day's puzzles, picked for you each day.
What does Delve Plus include?
One new lesson written for you each day from your interests, every lesson and book with no daily limit, and every puzzle, past days included. It is $14.99 a month or $119.99 a year, billed by Apple and renewed automatically until you cancel. Half of our profits go to the Wikimedia Foundation.
When does my daily lesson arrive?
It is written overnight, starting at your local midnight, from your interests and any lessons you asked for. A new one is written only after you open the last one; once you open it, the next usually arrives within about an hour. It needs AI turned on: Account > AI Preferences > Turn on AI. Right after you subscribe, your first lesson usually arrives at the top of Home within about an hour. A lesson written for you stays private to you until it passes a content check, then joins Delve's shared library, so other readers can find it too; it never carries your name or your requests.
How do I ask for a lesson?
Search in the Library or in Explore (the button at the top right of Home), then ask for the lesson under the results. Your requests shape your daily lessons, oldest first.
Books
What is in the Books tab?
Each book has three narrated lessons, each teaching one idea from the book in our own words, with what research has found since. They are not the books, or summaries of them, and Delve is not affiliated with the authors or publishers. They count toward the free plan's two a day. The first time anyone plays a part, its narration may take a moment to start.
Why is there an Amazon link?
Get the book opens the book on Amazon. It is a plain link, not an affiliate link: we are not paid for it and earn nothing if you buy.
How do I change the voice or speed?
Tap the voice bars at the bottom of a lesson.
Ask and reports
What is Ask?
A chat with an AI model about the lesson you are in, not with a person. It answers from the lesson, general knowledge and, when it needs to, a web search; its sources open in your browser. It needs AI turned on. It is not a crisis service: if you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number.
How do I report a problem?
For a lesson, open the lesson's menu and choose Report a problem. For an answer in Ask, tap Report this answer under it. You can also email us.
Puzzles
When do new puzzles come out?
Every day at 10 a.m. on your phone's clock.
Why are some puzzles locked?
On the free plan about half of each day's puzzles are open, picked for you each day. Delve Plus opens all of them, and every past day's on each game's calendar. A puzzle you started on its day can always be finished.
What is the red number on the app icon?
Today's puzzles you have not finished, and a daily lesson you have not opened. It changes the number only; it never shows a banner or makes a sound. Turn it off in iPhone Settings > Delve > Notifications > Badges.
What keeps my streak going?
Finishing a lesson or a puzzle on a day.
What is the countdown on my Lock Screen?
On an evening when you have a streak and have not finished anything that day, Delve puts a countdown to midnight on your Lock Screen with one lesson to play. It closes two minutes after you finish a lesson or a puzzle. Turn it off in Account > Reminder.
Your account
How do I cancel or change my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Delve. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Delve Plus until the end of the period you paid for.
How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?
Open the paywall from Account > Subscription and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all refunds. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com or use Report a Problem in the App Store.
How do I change my reminders?
Account > Reminder sets the time, turns the reminder off, and turns the evening streak reminder on the Lock Screen on or off.
How do I turn AI off?
Account > AI Preferences. Lessons, books, puzzles, the Library and text search all still work with AI off.
How do I delete my account?
Open the Account tab and choose Delete account. This removes your account and personal data from our servers. It does not cancel an Apple subscription, so cancel that in Settings first. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
